The form of the linear equation is

y=mx+b

m is the slope

b is the y-intercept

Since the given equation is

y=-(-x+1)

Simplify it by multiplying each term in the bracket by (-)

\begin{gathered} y=-(-x)+-(1) \\ y=x+-1 \\ y=x-1 \end{gathered}

Compare it with the form above to find the value of m

m=1

The slope of the equation is 1
