Given:

(-2+5i)(4-i)+(2-i)

Using the distributive property for the multiplication then combine the like terms

so, the given expression will be:

Note: i² = -1

\begin{gathered} (-2+5i)(4-i)+(2-i) \\ =-2(4-i)+5i(4-i)+(2-i) \\ =-8+2i+20i-5i^2+2-i \\ =-8+2i+20i+5+2-i \\ =(-8+5+2)+(2i+20i-i) \\ =-1+21i \end{gathered}

So, the answer will be:

-1+21i
