We need to simplify the following expression

(3)/(4)m^3+8-(1)/(2)m^3

We first group the similar terms, they are the first and the third one

((3)/(4)m^3-(1)/(2)m^3)+8

then we use common factor to take out the m^3 of the parenthesis

m^3((3)/(4)-(1)/(2))+8=(1)/(4)m^3+8=4(m^3+2)^{}
