Let:

(x1,y1)=(6,3)

(x2,y2)=(2,-9)

$\text{slope}=m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)=(-9-3)/(2-6)=(-12)/(-4)=3$

Using the point-slope equation:

$\begin{gathered} y-y1=m(x-x1) \\ y-3=3(x-6) \\ \text{Solve for y:} \\ y=3x-15 \end{gathered}$
