Mono and disaccharides are form of CHOs that contains high level of sugar therefore consumption of Polysaccharides are healthier since they contains low sugar level.

Foods that contains straight chain polysaccharides are good for the body since they are easily broken down in the body and generally have a lower glycemic index causing little changes in our blood sugar level. Therefore consuming Starchy foods (plant foods) made up of amylose is crucial since the amylase enzyme helps in the digestion of polysaccharides.
