Many factors have been associated with colorectal cancer. But ruling out those that cannot be avoided, such as aging and family history. The main ones are diet, exercise and weight.

Being overweight and having a sedentary life with little physical activity increases the risk of colorectal cancer in both men and women.

Also, a diet rich in red meat, processed and cooked at high temperatures such as charcoal-broiled meat increases the risk of suffering from this type of cancer.

Finally, smoking and alcoholism are also considered risk factors.

It should be noted that all these factors can be reduced with a healthy diet and physical activity.
