(4(1)/(12),(5)/(2))((10)/(7),(4)/(7))

the mid point is between 10/7 and 4 1/2

we can use an average to calculate the midpoint

so


\begin{gathered} ((10)/(7)+4(1)/(2))/(2) \\ \\ ((83)/(14))/(2) \\ =(83)/(28)\approx2.96 \end{gathered}

now on Y


\begin{gathered} ((5)/(2)+(4)/(7))/(2) \\ =(43)/(28)\approx1.53 \end{gathered}

and the point is


((83)/(28),(43)/(28))
