The expression is:

(x^2)/(x^(-6))

And for the properties of the exponents we can rewritte the equation for:

(x^2)/(x^(-6))=x^2\cdot x^6

and if we simplify it:

x^2\cdot x^6=x^8

In negative exponets would be like:

(x^2)/(x^(-6))=(1)/(x^(-2)x^(-6))=(1)/(x^(-8))
