So, we could use the pythagorean theorem.

Then, the measure of the diagonal distance from one of the lower corners to the opposite upper corner is:


\begin{gathered} D=\sqrt[]{20^2+12^2} \\ D=\sqrt[]{400+144} \\ D=\sqrt[]{544} \end{gathered}

Which is about 23.32 ft.
