\begin{gathered} W\colon H=5\colon4 \\ 5\colon4=50\colon H \\ (5)/(4)=(50)/(H) \\ \text{Cross multiplying the equation,} \\ 5* H=4*50 \\ 5H=200 \\ H=(200)/(5) \\ H=40\text{inches} \end{gathered}

Hence, the area of the rectangle is;


\begin{gathered} A=W* H \\ A=50*40 \\ A=2000in^2 \end{gathered}
