From the problem, we have :

Note that arc BC is the intercepted arc of angle BAC and it is twice the measurement of the angle.

So it will be :


\begin{gathered} BC=2\angle\text{BAC} \\ BC=2(88)=176 \end{gathered}

The answer is C. 176 degrees
