The rule of the surface area of a box whose dimensions are L, W, and H is

S.A=2(L* W+L* H+W* H)

Since the dimensions of the sugar box are 10 cm, 5 cm ,and 16 cm, then

L = 10

W = 5

H = 16

Substitute them in the rule above

\begin{gathered} S.A=2(10*5+10*16+5*16) \\ \\ S.A=2(50+160+80) \\ \\ S.A=2(290) \\ \\ S.A=580\text{ cm}^2 \end{gathered}

The surface area is 580 square cm
