Lania needed to water plants, so she filled a bucket with water. The first row of plants required 4/3gallons of water. Lanie used 6/3 gallons of water to water the remaining plants. How much waterdid Lania use to water the plant?

We have the following:

To know the total amount of water we must add the amount in the first row and then the amount that was spent on the remaining plants


(4)/(3)+(6)/(3)=(10)/(3)

Therefore she spent a total of 10/3 of a gallon
