Let f(x) = 3./2. If g() is the graph of f(x) shifted up 2 units and left 6 units, write a formula for g(x). g(2) = Enter as sqrt(x).

The equation of the function g(x) is g(x) = 3√(x + 6) + 2

How to determine the equation of the function g(x)

From the question, we have the following parameters that can be used in our computation:

f(x) = 3√x

Also, we have that

the graph of f(x) shifted up 2 units and left 6 units to get g(x)

This means that

g(x) = f(x + 6) + 2

So, we have

g(x) = 3√(x + 6) + 2

Hence, the equation of the function g(x) is g(x) = 3√(x + 6) + 2

Shifted up 2 units implies that you add 2 to f(x)

Shifted riight 6 left 6 units implies you add 6 to argument of f(x) , that is x

That is;

g(x)=f(x+6)\text{ + 2}

g(x)=3\sqrt[]{x+6}\text{ + 2}
