SOLUTION

(4) We are told to write the equation of a line in slope intercept form given the characteristics such that

\text{slope =}(1)/(4)\text{ and y-intercept = 2}

Equation of a line in slope intercept form is given as

\begin{gathered} y=mx+b \\ \text{where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept } \end{gathered}

Substituting the values we were given into the equation, we have

\begin{gathered} y=mx+b \\ y=(1)/(4)x+2 \\ y=(x)/(4)+2 \end{gathered}

Hence, the answer is

y=(x)/(4)+2
