when we study linear equations in two variables, it would be necessary to change equations from the form Ax + by=C to y= mx + b. Express the equation in the form y = mx + b by solving for y. Express numbers in exact simplified form.3x-7y=22

3x-7y=22

we solve for y doing operations on both sides

we remove 3x of left side subtractinc 3x on both sides

\begin{gathered} 3x-3x-7y=22-3x \\ -7y=22-3x \end{gathered}

then we divide between -7 to solve y

\begin{gathered} (-7y)/(-7)=(22-3x)/(-7) \\ \\ y=(-22+3x)/(7) \\ \end{gathered}

we can rewrite the equation to obtain the form y=mx+b

y=(3)/(7)x-(22)/(7)
