A counterexample is an example that shows the statement is false.


  • √(100)=10 is in line with the statement because
    10 < 100, so that doesn't work.

  • √(49)=7 again doesn't help, since
    7 < 49.

  • √(0)=0 is actually a counter example, since 0 is not less than 0.

  • \sqrt{(9)/(4)}=(3)/(2) again does not help, since
    (3)/(2) < (9)/(4).

Of these options, 0 is the counter example.
