Let's graph the first equation y = 1x + 3.

First, we make x = 0.

y=0+3=3

This means the first point is (0,3).

Then, we make y = 0.

\begin{gathered} 0=x+3 \\ x=-3 \end{gathered}

It means the second point is (-3,0).

Then, we graph these points and draw a straight line through them.

We repeat the process to graph the second equation

We make x = 0.

\begin{gathered} -1x+y=-1 \\ 0+y=-1 \\ y=-1 \end{gathered}

We make y = 0.

\begin{gathered} -1x+y=-1 \\ -x+0=-1 \\ x=1 \end{gathered}

So, the points are (0, -1) and (1, 0). The image below shows the graph.

As you can observe in the graph, the lines don't intercept each other, which means there are no solutions to the system.
