hello

to solve this question, we just have to know that "the sum of angles on a straight line is equals to 180 degrees"

using that knowledge, let's write out an equation

\begin{gathered} x+(3x-24)=180 \\ x+3x-24=180 \\ 4x-24=180 \\ \end{gathered}

let's collect like terms

\begin{gathered} 4x=180+24 \\ 4x=204 \end{gathered}

let's divde both sides by the coefficient of x

\begin{gathered} 4x=204 \\ (4x)/(4)=(204)/(4) \\ x=51 \end{gathered}

from the caculations above, the value of x is equals to 51 degrees
