- 4 - 3v = -52 ------------------------------(1)

-r - 3v = -52 ----------------------------------(2)

From equation (1), solve for v

-4 - 3v = -52

add 4 to both-side of the equation

-3v = -52 + 4

-3v =-48

divide both-side of the equation by -3

v = 16

Substitute v= 16 in equation(2) and then solve for r

-r - 3v = -52

-r - 3(16) = -52

-r -48 = -52

add 48 to both-side of the equation

-r = -52 + 48

-r = -4

multiply both-side of the equation by -1

r=4
