TO DETERMINE THE TOTAL MARKS

To determine the total marks , we will add up all the marks . This will be shown in the equation tab below


\begin{gathered} \sum_x=\text{ sum / addition of all marks = total marks} \\ \sum_x=94+83+75+52+71+68+75+49=567 \end{gathered}

Total marks = 567

Mean mark = Total marks / number of observations


\begin{gathered} \bar{x}=mean\text{ mark } \\ \bar{x}=(\sum_^x)/(n) \\ n=\text{ number of observations } \\ \bar{x}=(567)/(8)=70.875 \end{gathered}
