We need calculate the slope of the shown, so we are going to use two points (-3,-1) and (5,1), and let's use the equation of the slope:

\text{Slope}=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Replacing we get:

\text{Slope}=(1-(-1))/(5-(-3))=(1+1)/(5+3)=(2)/(8)=(1)/(4)

So finally we get that the answer is B; 1/4.
