slope of a line is expressed as;

m\text{ = }\frac{y_2-y_{1_{}}}{x_2-x_1}

from the table 4

when x1 = -1, y1 =3

when x2 = 1, y2 = 6

Find the slope using this coordinates;

\begin{gathered} m\text{ = }(6-3)/(1-(-1)) \\ m\text{ = }(3)/(1+1) \\ m\text{ = }(3)/(2) \end{gathered}

Hence the slope or rate of change is 3/2
