\begin{gathered} f(x)=3x \\ g(x)=2x \end{gathered}

Composition of functions:

(f\circ g)(x)=f(g(x))

Substitute the x in f for g(x):

(f\circ g)(x)=3(g(x))=3(2x)=6x

Then, the given composition is equal to 6x
