Explanation:

if you move (8x + 1) up, (8x + 1) + (27x + 4) = 180⁰

so,

8x + 1 + 27x + 4 = 180⁰

35x = 175⁰

x = 5

if you move (8x + 1) to the opposite of (y + 10), you'll see that they are equal

so substitute x=5 into (8x + 1),

8(5) + 1 = 41

and because (8x + 1) and (y + 10) are equal,

y + 10 = 41

y = 31
