f is an even function.

Even function symmetric with respect to y-axis.

b)

`f(x)=x^3-5`
`\begin{gathered} f(-x)=(-x)^3-5 \\ f(x)=-x^3-5 \end{gathered}`

function is neither odd nor even.

Its not symmetric.
