MAMD.M.D.1A: Part of the agreementbetween your spouse and yourself forpurchasing a larger house than you couldcurrently afford was that you would builda garden and sell produce to make someextra money. Your plan is that thegarden proceeds will cover 20% of your$1,500 mortgage payment for fourmonths during the year. The Homeownerassociation has recently reinforced that'food-production' space must be in thebackyard and may not consume morethat 20% of the backyard. If yourbackyard is 60' x 130', how manydollars per garden square foot will youneed to average per production monthin order to meet your plannedmortgage reduction?

V_p=1500\cdot(20)/(100)=300
T_g=(60ft\cdot130ft)\cdot(20)/(100)
T_g=7800ft^2\cdot(20)/(100)=1560ft^2
A=(V_p)/(T_g)=(300)/(1560ft^2)=0.1923_{}_{}
