Answer: Orchard C had 294 fruit trees

Explanation:

Let Orchard B has x fruit trees

Hence Orchard A has (x-60) fruit trees and Orchard C has 3x fruit trees

(x-60)+x+3x=430

x-60+4x=430

5x-60=430

5x-60+60=430+60

5x=490

Divide both parts of the equation by 5:

x=98 fruit trees

3x=3(98)

3x=294 fruit trees
