Both of them both originated in India, share common concepts such as samsara, karma, and dharma. They also both pratice meditation yoga, and mantra (although in different ways). Some differences include, religion, afterlife and government classes. For instance, in Hinduism they focus on religious rituals, while Buddhism focuses in ethical behavior. Also, in Hinduism they recognize many gods, and tradionally divide their society into a caste system. While Buddhism recognizes the existence of one god, and recognizes that all humans are equal to eachother.
