The numbers are:

12 and 18

Explanation:

a - b = 6 Eq. 1

3b = 2a Eq. 2

From Eq. 1

a = 6 + b Eq. 3

Replacing Eq. 3 in Eq. 2

3b = 2(6+b)

3b = 2*6 + 2*b

3b = 12 + 12b

3b - 2b = 12

b = 12

From Eq. 3

a = 6 +b

a = 6 + 12

a = 18

Check:

From Eq. 2

3b = 2a

3*12 = 2*18 = 36
