3 -5(-3x+1)+8x= −2x+5 answer

Combine like terms.

-3x+8x = 5x,

Then flip the sign on -2x since it’s on the other side of the equal sign:

5x + 2x = 7x

Next,

3-5 = -2,

-2 + 1 = -1,

Flip the sign on +5 because it’s on the other side of the equal sign:

-1 -5 = -6

And then you should have -6 + 7x as your final answer!
