There are many organelles in a cell. Develop a presentation (using imovie, PowerPoint, or poster) describing at least 5 organelles in a cell. Include pictures of the organelles and a detailed description of why the organelle is important to the survival of the cell.

1. Nucleus (the nucleus is basically the brain of the cell, basically what makes the cell function.
the nucleus serves both as the respiratory of genetic information and the cells control center. It is also very important because it contains the genetic material, the DNA, which is extremely important for the controlling and directing all the activities of the cell.)
2. The Mitochondria (The mitochondria is known to be the power plants in every cell. The mitochondria plays an ESSENTIAL role in creating energy to drive cellular function and basically all biological processes.)
3. The endoplasmic reticulum (The endoplasmic reticulum can either be smooth or rough, and in general its function is to produce proteins for the rest of the cell to function. The rough endoplasmic reticulum has on it ribosomes, which are small, round organelles whose function it is to make those proteins.)
4. Vesicles (A small sac formed by a membrane and filled with liquid. Vesicles inside cells move substances into or out of the cell. Vesicles made in the laboratory can be used to carry drugs to cells in the body.)
5. Vacuoles (A vacuole is a membrane-bound cell organelle. In animal cells, vacuoles are generally small and help sequester waste products. In plant cells, vacuoles help maintain water balance. Sometimes a single vacuole can take up most of the interior space of the plant cell.)

Hope this helped!!!
