F(5)=12
X is just a ‘place holder’
If F(x)=x+7
then F(x)=x+5
Using a constant F(x)=5+7
Since 5+7=12
F(5)=12
You fill the the F(5) for F(x) so X=5 in this problem
———
Another example is
F(x)=x+10 F(12)
The answer would be 22 because x=12
10+12=22
