By the corresponding angles theorem,


10x-6=8x+24\\\\2x-6=24\\\\2x=30\\\\x=15\\\\

Using vertical angles,


12y+36=10x-6\\\\12y+36=10(15)-6=144\\\\12y=108\\\\y=9
