A number n is less than 6 units from 0. write and solve and inequality.

Disclaimer: I don't know how to solve it.

The answer is |x|<6

So |whatever number| means the absolute value of whatever number. The absolute value is a number's distance from zero. It can be a positive or a negative number, but it's absolute value will always be the positive version of it. It's like in a game. You can move +6 spaces or -6 spaces, but either way you're moving 6 spaces from where you were before you moved. So, yeah. Hope that helps a little.
