If you swim beneath the surface in saltwater, will the pressure be greater than in freshwater at the same depth? Why or why not?

The pressure in the sea water will be greater than that in the fresh water at the same depth.

The density of salt water is greater than the density of freshwater.

And the pressure is given by,

P=\rho gh

Where g is the acceleration due to gravity and h is the depth.

As it can be seen from the above equation, the pressure is proportional to the density of the liquid provide h is constant.

Greater the density greater is the pressure at the same
