Maddie went to the hardware store and bought 9 identical copper pipes. When Maddie lined up the pipes end-to-end, the line was 1.8 meters long. How long was each pipe?

If they’re identical in length and the total length is 1.8m, then you can divide the total length by number of pipes:

1.8/9=0.9m each
