h = 3b

area: 35
in^(2)

Formula for area of a triangle: 1/2bh = area

Use given info and formula to solve the problem.

1/2bh = 35

Multiply by 2 on both sides.

bh = 70

As we know h is 3b, substitute them for eachother.

b+3b=70

4b=70

b=17.5

Since h is 3 times b,

h = 52.5
