The ratio here is 3:5. And since we’re looking for the amount of oranges needed in proportion to apples, we can write another ratio of 15:?. For the second ratio, divide 15 apples by the initial ratio amount of 3 apples. You will get the number 5. This is how much larger the second ratio is compared to the initial ratio. So, you can multiply the initial 5 oranges by the conversion factor of 5 to get the number of oranges needed to be restocked which is 25 oranges.
