We have the following:

8\mleft(x-2\mright)+3a=-bx+36

solving for x:

\begin{gathered} 8x-16+3a=-bx+36 \\ 8x+bx=-3a+36+16 \\ x(8+b)=52-3a \\ x=(52-3a)/(8+b);b\\e8 \end{gathered}
