PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS What is the equation of the line that passes through the point (-3,-11) and is parallel to the line with the equation y=2x-4 y= 2x - 5 O y= 2x + 5 O y=1/2x - 25/2 Oy= 1/2x + 25/2

(x, y) = (-3, -11)

The equation y = 2x - 4 is already in slope intercept form, y = mx + b

Our slope (m) must be the same for a parallel line

Substitute the values of (x, y) into the slope intercept form, we have:

-11 = 2(-3) + b; -11 = -6 + b

Add 6 to both sides, we have:

b = -11 + 6 = -5

b = -5

From y = 2x - 4, m = 2

b = -5, m = 2

y = mx + b

y = 2x - 5

Therefore, the equation for the parallel line passing through (-3,-11) is y = 2x - 5
