Answer:

x=22

Explanation:

Since a straight line is equal to 180 degrees,

(3x+3)+(5x+1) = 180

(3x+3)+(5x+1)-180=0

8x+4-180=0

8x-176=0

8x=176

x=176/8

x=22

Which also means that the first angle is (3(22)+3)=69 degrees

the second angle is (5(22)+1) = 111 degrees

111 + 69 = 180
