1) Since we have this Diameter, of 30" and D = 2R, then we can find the radius, R = 15.

2) Now we can plug that radius into the Area of the circle formula:


\begin{gathered} A=\pi\cdot r^2 \\ A=\pi\cdot15^2 \\ A=\text{ 225}\pi \end{gathered}

3) So the area of that circle is 225π in²
