To estimate the product we have to round the factors and then use the associative rule of the product to evaluate the multiplication


\begin{gathered} 656*106 \\ 700*100=(7*100)(100) \\ =7(100*100) \\ =7(10000) \\ =70000 \end{gathered}

Therefore a good estimate of the product is 70000.
