From the equation

2x - 3y = 12

To find x-intercept, make x the subject of the formula

2x = 3y + 12

divide through by 2

x = 3y/2 + 12/2

x = 3y/2 + 6

x intercept = 6

To find the y-intercept, make y the subject of the formula

2x - 3y = 12

2x - 12 = 3y

3y = 2x - 12

y = 2x/3 - 12/3

y = -2x/3 - 4

y-intercept = -4

(6,0) and (0,-4) J
