Explanation

Step 1

to solve this we need to find the missing values,

the square shows a number of divisons, ( the column si divided by row)( first number divided by second number)

so, for the first empy space ( the first column) ,

let

unknown value = x,so

\begin{gathered} (x)/(-2)=30 \\ hence,\text{ to solve for x, multiply both sides by -2} \\ (x)/(-2)\cdot-2=30\cdot-2 \\ x=-60 \end{gathered}

so, in that space, put -60

Step 2

now, we can find the missing value in the first row(between -2 and 1)

let x represents that number, then

\begin{gathered} (-60)/(x)=-30 \\ \end{gathered}

to solve this( in other words you need to find a number thar, -60 divided by that number equals -30), we need isolate x, so

\begin{gathered} (-60)/(x)=-30 \\ Multiply\text{ both sides by x } \\ (-60)/(x)\cdot x=-30\cdot x \\ -60=-30x \\ \text{Now divide both sides by -30} \\ (-60)/(-30)=(-30)/(-30)x \\ 2=x \end{gathered}

so, the value for that box is 2

Step 3

for the next empty box, ( you have to check what number you can find, it depends on the data you have, ) so , for the white empty box, we have

\begin{gathered} -(60)/(1)=x \\ -60=x \end{gathered}

I hope this helps you
