From the problem, we have the expression :

2(3-b)+5(b-3)^2

We need a common factor to be extracted from the expression, (3 - b) when multiplied to -1 will be (b - 3).

-2(b-3)+5(b-3)^2

Now we can factor out (b- 3)

\begin{gathered} (b-3)\lbrack-2+5(b-3)\rbrack \\ \Rightarrow(b-3)\lbrack-2+5b-15\rbrack \\ \Rightarrow(b-3)(5b-17) \end{gathered}

The answer is (b - 3)(5b - 17)
