using what you learned about expressions and patterns complete the graphic organizer by giving a real world example, graph the patterns, and compare the patterns. my question is about the real world example. this is fifth grade math and this chapter did not use unknown numbers. so I am not sure if I should use two different expressions, one expression with an unknown number, two different tables, or if I'm even understanding the question properly

we have

Real world example

A pounds of banana cost $1.50

what is the cost of 6.5 pounds

Let

x -----> number of pounds

y -----> the total cost

the linear equation is

y=1.50x

so

the pattern is the equation of a line

see the attached figure

For x=6.5 pounds

substitute

y=1.5*(6.5)

y=$9.75

Compare the result of the equation with the graph

the result is the same
