The Slope-intercept form of a line:

y = mx + b

where m is the slope and (0,b) is the y-intercept

a. y = -1/4x + 6

slope: -1/4

y-intercept: (0, 6)

b. y = -3

slope: 0

y-intercept: (0, -3)

c. -4x + 2y = 16

Isolating y:

\begin{gathered} 2y=4x+16 \\ y=(4x+16)/(2) \\ y=(4x)/(2)+(16)/(2) \\ y=2x+8 \end{gathered}

slope: 2

y-intercept: (0, 8)
