hmm.... what k will end up giving that 6x on the right side of the equation?

Since 6x is the second thingy in that expression, its a good idea to try dividing by 2, lets try k = 6/2 = 3!

(x+3)^2 = x^2+3x+3x+9

(x+3)^2 = x^2+6x+9

that fits pretty good!

So, k = 3, q = 9
